I’m so glad you’re here. I created this space with love and intention, designed to be a sanctuary for your self-care, healing, and personal transformation. Whether you’re here for beauty services, a moment of calm, or a deeper wellness journey, you’re in the right place.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself…
I’m originally from Greensburg, PA — a small town just outside of Pittsburgh. I’m 29 years old, a wife, a mother, and a passionate animal advocate. I’m a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers. I love getting outdoors for hikes or unwinding with yoga. I draw everyday and enjoy being a tattoo artist very much. Cold brew and herbal tea are essential in my life — especially with a toddler running around!
I’ve always been drawn to holistic wellness, which is what led me to herbalism and the healing power of plants.
My professional journey began in 2017, when I moved to Colorado to study at the International Salon and Spa Academy. After completing a full-time esthetics program and earning 11 certifications, I continued to deepen my skills, starting my tattoo journey, in 2018, with specialized training PMU in Las Vegas, focusing on semi-permanent makeup and 3D hair stroke (aka microblading) / Faux Freckles.
In January 2022, I opened the doors to E M Beauty Studio and Spa — a dream come true. My Solo gig-It was a incredible journey, and I’m beyond grateful for every client who has supported me along the way. Your trust means everything.

My passion for esthetics goes far beyond skincare. I’m deeply inspired by the transformation that happens when someone feels truly confident, seen, and supported. My goal is to help every client feel safe, cared for, and radiant in their own skin — inside and out.
At the studio, I use a variety of professional, medical grade skincare (cruelty-free) products.

“Hello! My name is Gabby Miller and I’m a sound healing practitioner, musician, writer and certified in Reiki 1 and Animal Reiki 2.
Sound and music have been a huge part of my life from a very young age. As I got older, I’ve battled with mild to severe mental & emotional health issues and later got diagnosed with anxiety and depression. Life can throw us so much and cause us to feel extremely defeated and alone. I’ve been in some very dark places but one thing that I consistently return to is sound therapy and my personal relationship with God/Higher Power.
My mission now is to guide others to return to that scared place within themselves through my sound and music. I’ve worked with over 50 1 on 1 clients, groups and have practiced at multiple wellness centers, businesses and art galleries. “Hi, I’m Katherine! I’m a licensed holistic esthetician, Reiki Master Practitioner, and spiritual healer devoted to nurturing you on every level... skin, body, mind, and spirit. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh in 2021, I followed my passion into skincare, earning my esthetics license from North Hills Beauty Academy in 2023, and my Reiki Master certification this past June.
My approach is equal parts soulful and scientific: blending intuitive touch, energy medicine, and skin expertise to create experiences that are as transformative as they are comforting. Beyond skincare, I offer Reiki, energy work, and personalized ceremonies designed to honor life’s sacred moments; whether it’s for deep healing, tender grieving, wild celebration, or bold manifestation.
At Ember & Roots, I aim to create a sanctuary where you can feel safe, seen, and fully supported as you return to your most authentic self.
When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me with my fiancè Adam and our goofy Chow Chow, Salami, usually with coffee in hand, laughing at YouTube deep dives or comedy specials. My work is more than what I do, it’s who I am: grounded, heart-led, and here to help you come home to yourself.
